Dr. Zachery Barnett’s passion for medicine began as a college volunteer at a three day charity walk. Many participants needed medical attention after long miles, mostly for issues with their feet. That experience sparked his interest in the complexities of foot care and planted the early seeds of what would become a career in podiatric medicine.
After medical school, he completed his surgical training at the University of Louisville, a Level 1 Trauma Center, where he gained experience managing a wide range of foot and ankle conditions. Over six years working in private podiatry practices, Dr. Barnett developed a strong interest in wound care, especially in treating stubborn, hard-to-heal foot and leg wounds that impact his patients’ overall well-being.
